I'm a wife of 38 years, a mother of 3 married children and a grand-mother of 4 wonderful grand-children. I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and feel I am an ongoing "work in progress" in His hands. I enjoy a lot of different crafts including photography, scrapbooking, knitting and crocheting. I am a self published author of a book called "Let's Get Personal" and am working on book number two.

Hope!
I had to blog this quote! I am reading in Max Lucado Study bible and doing the devotions along with the scripture reading. We talk about hope and we say God can do anything but do we really believe it!! I LOVE Max's description of hope. Quote, "Hope is not a granted wish or a favor performed; no, it is far greater than that. It is a zany, unpredictable dependence on a God who loves to surprise us out of our socks and be there in the flesh to see our reaction. (From God Came Near by Max Lucado)

Another "Wake up" Moment
This morning I slept in and extra half hour, I was sleeping soooo well! When I finally got out of bed I set my laptop on the counter top and brought up Our Daily Bread to listen to it. I don't know if it was just the scripture or a combination of the story with the scripture but I 'heard' something in the scripture reading that I had never heard before. It was in Matthew 20:1-16. It is the parable of the workers in the vineyard and how different ones were hired at different hours but all paid the same thing! This morning what I 'heard' (my ah ha) was this: No matter who we are are or when we accept Christ, He gives each one of us the same thing! His free gift of salvation! Just like the thief on the cross beside Jesus. The gift he received is no different than the gift I received when I accepted Christ as my Saviour!!

Praise God!
That is the only way I can start this post! Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! I love how he works in our lives. I am so grateful and thankful that the insignificant little me is so IMPORTANT to him that he will talk to me and encourage me and urge me on. I am so glad we have found a new church home and feel like I have been blessed over and over again and encouraged by what I hear, time and time again. Being discouraged in the past, with church, it`s like I am hesitant to get involved; to take part, but as I seek Him He speaks to me.
And my prayer life has not been what it should be. I feel like sometimes I am just a ``resounding clang`; repeating the same things over and over again. But as I read in Max Lucado`s study bible this morning, I am once again encouraged. I read Mark 9 this morning and the devotion that goes with it describes two types of pray-ers; and I fall into the second category: quote, `Maybe you are like me, more a crop duster than a Concorde. You aren`t flashy, you fly low, you seem to cover the same ground a lot, and some mornings it`s tough to get the old engine cranked up.`` Once again, He has brought me to tears, as I am touched that He thinks so much of me that He would continue to encourage me and spur me on. Thank you Lord for all that you do in my life!

The Treasure!
2 Corinthians 4:7-10
I have read these scripture verses many, many time. As a matter of fact, I have considered verses 8-10 one of my favorite scripture passages. Maybe that is why I missed verse 7!
Last Saturday morning I was reading it on-line on Our Daily Bread. As I read through the scripture passage that was with the devotion verse 7 spoke to me. I know that in the past I have sometimes wondered what this treasure was that I would be holding in a jar of clay? Saturday morning it was one of those 'ah ha' moments! We are the jar of clay and Christ living in us is the Treasure!!! Not sure how I missed this for so long!
I simply Love those 'ah ha' moments!
